About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join their committed team at a well-respected school in Kidderminster . The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons, helping students develop a love for literature and language while ensuring they achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that fosters academic success and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons to secondary students
  • Foster a passion for literature, creative writing, and critical thinking skills
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing targeted support where needed
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring strong literacy and analytical skills
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that meets diverse learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance student outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities and enrichment programs
  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, engagement, and achievement

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching secondary English , ideally across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
  • A strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering high-quality English education
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment
  • The ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • A proactive approach to professional development and continuous improvement
